After working as an architect for ten years, I started Vilt aan Zee in 2011,’ says Anne van de Weijer. ‘I not only design products but also make them myself. I have a love for the natural material, the softness, and even the smell of wool. Creating large lamps, where physical work is involved, gives me a great sense of satisfaction. Despite my passion for crafts- manship, I have never lost my love for sketching and designing on paper or on the compu- ter. I enjoy contemplating the possibilities.’
