Celia Hadeler
'Folds' are almost everywhere; a napkin on the table, the clothing you wear, or a bag floating in the wind. It draws the attention of Celia Hadeler, a contemporary artist, based in The Hague. In her new series Rugs & Wall Hangings Hadeler uses the classical ‘Trompe l’oeil’* optical illusion, playing with the perception of the beholder. Notice how people walk around them curious and surprised, looking at them from different angles.
